"I called the book "There is no future without History." Why? I am not a Nobel Prize winner, not a famous writer, but just an ordinary scientist, professor of the Soviet and Russian time period. I have not met with presidents, kings, ministers, and in general with the powerful of this world, acquaintance with whom it would be possible to brag and talk beautifully about it. Nevertheless, I took up the pen and decided to describe my life path for several reasons. Firstly, I was a witness and participant of those perturbations that took place first in the USSR, and then in Russia. Secondly, I have a lot of funny, sad and even extraordinary events behind me, which constantly had a critical impact on the line of my behavior. Thirdly, it seems to me that everyone's life is interesting and unique in its own way and worthy of telling about it, but not everyone decides to do it. I've made up my mind."
