For ultrasonic inspection of austenitic materials, two antenna arrays (Dual Matrix Array (DML)) are often used, operating in a separate combined mode. Special prisms have been developed to work with DMA. The use of DMA makes it possible to increase the signal-to-noise ratio of the image of reflectors, reduce the level of reverberation noise, which allows using prisms with a reduced arrow, and focusing the field in three-dimensional space.
